Strandbyhus was built in 2006
The property “Strandbyhus” was completed in 2006 and is located between the city and the harbor, in one of Esbjerg’s best locations, at the end of the pedestrian street, close to the music hall, the city park, shopping and the market square.
The view to one side is the Fanø ferry, offshore activities, wind turbine shipping, the entrance and the water with Skallingen and Fanø. To the other sides the city and the hinterland.
Built by KPC Byg and designed by architect
Strandbyhus was designed by Arkitema in Aarhus in collaboration with the local architectural firm Hallen and Nordby and built by KPC Byg, as the general contractor with Rambøll Danmark as the engineer.
The architects’ intention was to adapt the towers to both the classic warehouses and silos at the harbor and to the red brick buildings that dominate Esbjerg’s city center.
Large, free-hanging living balconies in heavy hot-dip galvanized steel with glass railings greatly increase the viewing angles.
Another factor that helps to open the building to more corners of the world is that the outer walls are not parallel. The long sides of the towers make a discreet bend approximately halfway, so that the facades appear wider towards the harbor front.
37 condominiums - Distributed over 2 towers
The property consists of 37 apartments, spread over 2 almost identical twin towers, seven floors above ground, each with its own elevator and locked indoor parking in the basement and ground floor.
There is direct access from the indoor parking areas to the staircase and elevators.
There is a shared terrace on the roof of each tower, as well as a shared terrace on the ground floor between the 2 towers.
Each apartment has its own balcony/balconies, most of which are covered, a locked room of approx. 5 m2 in a shared safe room in the basement and ground floor, a video door phone system in colour and a technical cabinet with consumption meters for heating, water and electricity, as well as internet and TV.
SE fiber connection has been provided to each apartment.
Strandbyhus is a safe place to live, under orderly conditions, with a broad circle of owners and a well-functioning owners’ association.
